Continue Learning with Bill Meridian's New Book
June 11, 2010
If you want to succeed as an astro-trader, it's important to make a lifelong commitment to learning.
You can never stop.
If you accept the fact that you have not learned all there is to learn, that you cannot possibly ever hope to know all there is to know, then you will be well on your way toward the kind of knowledge and understanding that can bring you success in the markets.
As a professional financial astrologer, astro-trader, and astro-trading coach, I make it part of my daily discipline to be tuned in to the latest developments in the field. Whether it's a new book, a new computer program, an interesting article, or just a story about a particular trading strategy or about some unexpected but significant success in the markets, I am always ready to read, to listen, to experience, and to learn.
That's why it was particularly rewarding for me to learn recently about the publication of a long-awaited book from Bill Meridian. It's called The Predictive Power of Eclipse Paths, and it's truly an extraordinary piece of work.
I got my first exposure to some of the material in this book about 20 years ago, when I was one of about 15 or 20 people who heard Bill give a talk at an astrological conference, honoring the work of his late mentor, Charles Jayne. Bill had been doing a lot of work, digging up back issues of Dell Horoscope magazine from the 1940s, in which Charles had published his astrological forecasts concerning key campaigns in World War II.
The original magazines were long gone and the articles had never been reprinted, but the forecasting work presented in them was truly extraordinary. Bill distributed photocopies of some of the articles, along with some notes summarizing the key principles in them, as a handout to accompany his talk.
During the following years, as I got to know Bill better and found occasions to compare notes on a more personal level, I learned that he was hard at work on a book about eclipse paths. Over and over of the project got moved to the back burner to make way for other, more pressing concerns, and after awhile the reports about Bill's progress on the book became litanies concerning the forces that were delaying the completion of the project.
Even so, I always trusted that one day the book would arrive. And now that day has come!
Bill's new book isn't directly about astro-trading, but the information it contains is essential background reading for anyone who hopes to be effective and profitable as an astro-trader. I recommend this book highly, and encourage you to add a copy to your astro-trading library as soon as you possibly can.
